Google Pixel 8 supports GSM, HSPA, LTE, and 5G. It was announced on October 4, 2023, and became available on October 12, 2023. The build of the device consists of a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), glass back (Gorilla Glass Victus), and an aluminum frame. The display of the Pixel 8 is an OLED type with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a brightness of 1400 nits (HBM) and 2000 nits (peak). Pixel 8 runs on Android 14 and is powered by the Google Tensor G3 chipset, which is built on a 4 nm process. The CPU is a nona-core configuration, consisting of a Cortex-X3 core clocked at 3.0 GHz, four Cortex-A715 cores clocked at 2.45 GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at 2.15 GHz. The GPU is the Immortalis-G715s MC10. In terms of memory, there is no card slot available, but it comes with either 128GB or 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM. The storage uses UFS 3.1 technology.
The main camera setup of the device includes a dual-camera system with a 50 MP wide lens (f/1.7 aperture) and a 12 MP ultrawide lens (f/2.2 aperture). The main camera features include dual-LED flash, Pixel Shift, Ultra-HDR, panorama, and Best Take. It can record videos in 4K at 24/30/60fps and 1080p at 30/60/120/240fps, with gyro-EIS, OIS, and 10-bit HDR support.
